Victims of sexual violence are an ever-present reality in healthcare today, and forensic and nurse examiners are often the first medical personnel to treat these patients. The goal of this program is to provide affordable, comprehensive basic SAFE A/A education using pedagogical science to thread nursing philosophies, theory, concepts, practice frameworks, scope and standards of practice through forensic nursing educational opportunities.
Beginning with a pre-assessment to determine baseline knowledge, content in each of the 14 modules is presented by subject matter experts. A post-assessment test gauges comprehension of the material. Each module follows the IAFN educational guidelines for didactic coursework in adolescent/adult SANE.
To comply with IAFN guidelines, all courses must be completed in 12 weeks. After that time, learners will no longer have access to the content. To take this course, you must use high-speed Internet (cable, FiOS, some DSL/T1).
