Now is the Time for New Nursing Scholarship: A Post COVID-19 Reset - Online Course

This course is available for FREE to Sigma Members.

Addressing health inequities, including structural racism, are important to a just healthcare system globally. This requires reflection on knowing and understanding the world. We must harness the energy, dynamism and increase recognition of nursing generated by this pandemic to create and contribute to positive change benefiting future generations of nurses.

This course will retire after 21st July 2024.

Learning Outcomes:

• Outline the impact of Covid-19 on the health outcomes of patients, their families, and communities
• Discuss the role of social, political, and economic factors influencing healthcare
• Identify opportunities for future proofing our health systems through innovation and discovery
• Emphasize the importance of nursing research and scholarship in ensuring robust, sustainable health systems

Patricia Mary Davidson, PhD, MEd, BA, RN, FAAN, is one of the most influential deans of nursing in the U.S. Since joining the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in September 2013.A global leader in cardiac health for women and vulnerable populations, Davidson has an established program of research in supporting individuals living with chronic conditions and developing innovative models of transitional care.
