About the Authors

Juli Maxworthy, DNP, PhD(c), MBA, RN is an Associate Professor at the University of San Francisco, formerly a VP of Quality and Risk, moved into academia full time in 2013. Dr. Maxworthy recently concluded a term as the VP on the Sigma Board. As a simulationist, she currently serves as the President-Elect of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). She has led the revision of accreditation standards and has written multiple articles, chapters, and textbooks on a variety of subjects.

Miranda Cassity, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner in a rural health clinic providing primary care services. She is currently pursuing nursing academia in her spare time. She is currently working towards her DNP at the University of South Alabama.
