Scholarship of Discovery delves into research as a track for advancement in the nurse educator role. It also provides a review of key concepts of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Define the scholarship of research
- Describe alternative approaches to nursing science including dissemination and implementation research
- Demonstrate understanding of the foundational steps involved in conducting quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research
- Identify strategies to aid in the development and advancement of a research trajectory to achieve scholar recognition/tenure/promotion

Danielle EK Perkins, PhD, RN currently serves as manager for the Sigma/ Chamberlain University Center for Excellence in Nursing Education.
